What is the SRC?
- The Student Research Center is a collection of databases powered by EBSCO, and provided to residents of the state of Indiana for free as part of INSPIRE, the Indiana Virtual Library
- It is designed for secondary students in grades 6-12
- The databases and resources included in the SRC include:
- Health Source-Consumer Edition
- MAS ULTRA-School Edition
- Middle Search Plus
- Newspaper Source
- TOPICSearch
- The New Oxford American Dictionary
- The Columbia Encyclopedia
Why would I use the SRC?
- Provides easy access to age appropriate content
- Search by topic and type of source: magazines, newspapers, books, encyclopedias, radio and TV news transcripts, country or state reports, primary source documents, photos, maps or flags
- The SRC is always "open", accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from anywhere with an internet connection.
How do I get to the SRC?
- Go to the Inspire (www.inspire.net) homepage and click on the Student Resource Center icon at the bottom of the page
Wayne Township students can also get to the SRC through the Wayne Township Home Page. Once there, click on the "Services and Links" tab the far right tab at the top of the page, then click on "Libraries", the sixth option on the drop down menu (see below). Scroll down to "Research Resources", click on that, then click on the Inspire box right at the top.
What magazines and newspapers are indexed in the SRC?
From the home page of the SRC, click on Title Lists to see the databases included in the SRC.
From here, you can click on Title List, to see the list magazines, newspapers, and other documents included in each database.
Or click on "More Information" to find out details on that particular database.
